The First Years Airflow Wedge with Sleep Positioner Review

I had bought this wedge due to my son having reflux. Unfortunately, it is just not high enough and even with the sleep positioner, he still slides down. Also, to wash it you have to put it in a pillowcase which is kind of a pain. You would think a product for babies that spit up a lot would be easily washable. It is made in China also. I would not purchase this product again.

Baby Boom IB5370 Dora The Explorer Coral Plush Blanket Review

We picked out a bedding set to go with my 1 1/2 year olds Dora bed. I gave up on the whole idea of Dora bedding on her bed while she sleeps though. It's just not possible with my daughter, as she spends the whole time pointing at Dora (or all the little Dora's on the Dora sheets) saying "Dora, Dora, Dora" over and over... but she will drag this out during the day and lay them out on the floor and play on top of it and she enjoys it even though I don't use it on her bed. She uses it as a play blanket. I'm glad, as they're still getting use.

This specific blanket is VERY soft, and warm. I really wish she'd let it lay on top of her without freaking out and wanting to look at her because it's warm in our cold weather. I'd recommend it strongly. Definitely. Just think about whether your child will actually be able to get their mind off Dora long enough to fall asleep if they're surrounded by her in their sleeping zone. My DD wouldn't even lay on top of the Dora, she tried to wiggle next to her and would put her head next to Dora's and talk.

Rubinstein Collection, Vol. 27 [Box set, Original recording remastered] Review

Arthur Rubinstein made three recordings of Chopin's 51 Mazurkas, this second set being made in 1952-1953. As with most everything he made multiple recordings of, the three sets of Mazurkas (along with three Mazurkas he recorded separately in 1932) make for fascinating comparisons. There is a gradual metamorphosis from the more exciting, brilliant, and episodic performances of the 1930s toward the more sober, reflective, structurally cohesive approach of the 1960s recordings.
Rubinstein considered the stereo version of the mazurkas (Volume 50) one of the finest recordings he had ever made. But in my opinion, his earlier versions of the mazurkas are superior. In the 1930s set (volume 6), he more effectively captures the "swing" of this Polish peasant dance, where the 1960s version tends to sound metrically stricter. This 1950s version (Volume 27) melds the youthful and mature approaches. Rubinstein also uses a wider tonal pallette in this second set.
There are many valid approaches to these elusive gems. In addition to this set, collectors would do well to aquire the 29 Mazurkas William Kapell recorded before his early death, and the scattered Mazurkas recorded by Horowitz.
The mono sound is a bit dry, with little sense of space round the piano, but acceptable.

We purchased this for our baby as it was on a list of toys as top picks.It's cute, and she likes it fine, but honestly, at the end of the day it's really just a plush toy with some accessories.My dogs are especially fond of the accessories (the little fish and the cards), and I'm sure we won't be able to keep all the pieces together.Sure wish I bought it while it was in stock at Wal-Mart though as it was literally a third less there when they had it.Serves me right for delaying that Christmas purchase until the end of November....I'm not sure why this got such a thumbs-up in the original article I read on best baby toys, but we were VERY happy with the other toys we chose from that list-- the Manhattan Toy Big Top Sounds, and the Latitude Enfant Cat Stacker.This is a solid "fine", and it's cute enough, but Latitude Enfant's Magician toy looks cuter to me, plus I really like their quality.The wand on this makes a cool noise that my daughter likes.I guess the bottom line is you never know what will evoke a response out of your own baby until you try the item in question.

Philips Avent Standard Nipple Protector Review

I bought these because I wanted very badly to breastfeed my daughter but we were having latch-on problems.I was told that nipple shields could be helpful for this.

I went with the Avent because overall, I am super impressed with their products.I only use their bottles and pacifiers and have been a happy customer in the past.

I don't really recommend these specific nipple shields.I can't get them to stay in place and they are really akward.My daughter dislikes using them and I can't get her to nurse with these.

If you are in the market for a nipple shield, go with the Medela brand ones.Those are much easier to use and less akward for baby.

Playball Window Treatment Panels - Set of 2 Review

I purchased these for my four year old's room. We were using several shades of blue with the sports theme so I didn't think it really mattered what shade of blue the curtains were. I was wrong! The curtains are very thin and were almost a purple color. I purchased enough that we could hang them close together so the light didn't shine through as much. Ayres Twin Bed by Arginton Review

WORST BED EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't buy this bed for your toddler. We did and it is falling APART and the company doesn't want to assume any responsibility over this. The side board gets loose from the headboard. This happens several times a week and we have to wake our kid up to fix the bed because we are afraid there migt be an accident in the middle of the night. It hasn't happened because we bought the trundle and it is preventing the bottom of the bed to fall on the floor. The bed is of very poor quality. There are bumps on the paint and patches where the paint is matte instead of the gloss finish that it is supposed to have throughout. We had problems with the bed the same week we got it BRAND NEW from the store. It is not worth the money.

Philips Avent 7oz Magic Trainer Twin w/ Handle Review

This cup has some nice features...it attaches to the Avent Isis breast pump, the handles are removable, it's easy to take apart and wash and the spout is soft.

However, it sometimes leaks between the cup bottom and the screw-on lid. I have tried tightening and loosening the lid, but it still drips. I have had the same problem with the Avent bottles from time to time.

I hate this pricey shipping fee since I'm with Prime.But this window shade is the best match for my baby's room which is a jungle theme.We put it on last night, found pro and con- it's very cute and I love the green/ brown combination -personal reason that it goes so well with other things in the room.But we were disappointed on the quality, the fabric is kind of sheer.Even we have another layer of white roman shade, we can still see street lights shine in from 100 yards away.No question on making room dark for daytime nap.Good that my kid is an easy napper now, otherwise I may have to return it.

Basket Pecan - Set of 3 Review

I registered for these- they seemed like a good idea at the time.But when my son was old enough to crawl and take the toys out of them- the basket would break into little pieces that he could swallow. I would not suggest using wicker like this to store toys or anything that your child would use.They come apart too easily and can be a choking hazzard. I use only plastic bins now, or the fabric type bins for toys.

5PC Set with Diaper Stacker Review

This is a great neutral set that I bought for my baby's room. I didnt know which sex I was having but figured I'd pair this up with blue accents if a boy or pink accents if a girl. I ended up having a boy and it turns out to look great with blue sheets and solid red sheets. Next time I would not buy the set that includes a bumper because I have never used it. Aside from the safety issues with bumpers in cribs, the crib sheets are pain to change with the bumper (the bumper has to be removed). This is the case with all sets.

Overall it looks great and was a good buy.

Kidsline Gossamer Wings Nursery Rug Review

This rug is very cute as part of the Gossamer Wings collection. However, the backing on the rug is not slip proof so the rug does not stay in place. It is the worst I have seen! I have wall-to-wall carpeting and this rug is on top of the carpet and still it is all over the place. I have even put a backing specifically made for this purpose between the rug and the carpet and still no good. I have many other throw rugs throughout the house with the wall-to-wall and none others is this annoying.
I give it a 3 star because it is cute and the colors go very well with the collection.

Cocoa Flower Wall Border - 8"x 30' Review

I could not wait to get this in and put it up in my dining room. However, when I got it in, I was disgusted with the way it looked. TO me, it looked nothing like the picture at all as far as color goes. I thought is would be brown and beige, but it was brown and blue. The cut was horrible as well. It looks cheap and tacky. It looks like the top and bottom were cut with a dull blade leaving tiny bits of paper all along the top and bottom. I hated this.
